Tests whether GHK-Cu and GHK sequences present in collagen affect osteoblast (bone-forming cell) behavior. GHK-Cu and GHK peptides increased cell attachment and alkaline phosphatase activity—a marker of osteoblast differentiation—in multiple bone cell types, though they did not affect cell spreading. Suggests a role for GHK sequences in bone matrix in supporting osteoblast attachment and function.
