This study examined how lipopolysaccharide-phospholipid separation in outer membrane vesicles promotes preferential binding of antimicrobial peptides including LL-37 at lipid interfaces. The findings reveal how Gram-negative bacteria use membrane vesicles to resist antimicrobial peptide killing.
