This review examined how the human immune peptide LL-37 influences cancer cell migration across different tumor types. In most epithelial cancers, including breast and liver cancers, LL-37 promotes cell movement and invasiveness, but it inhibits migration in brain tumors (gliomas) and colon cancer. The peptide's effects depend heavily on the tumor type, receptor expression, concentration, and exposure time, making it both a potential therapeutic target and a complex factor in cancer progression.
