Characterized the urine proteome of wild bottlenose dolphins using nano LC-MS/MS, identifying 1,872 protein families. Cathelicidin and lysozyme accounted for 2.66% of the urine proteome, suggesting innate immune defense. The study also detected 27 acute kidney injury markers and 12 stone formation proteins, providing a reference for dolphin renal health.
