Investigated the anti-biofilm cathelicidin peptide fragment bac7(1-35) against multidrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae. Transcriptomic profiling revealed a dual mechanism: simultaneous membrane compromise and ribosomal inhibition, causing rapid biofilm collapse. The peptide eradicated biofilms from diverse clinical isolates and prevented organ colonization in a murine skin-abscess model.
