Discovered that LAPTM5 stabilizes STING protein in macrophages by blocking its ubiquitination and degradation, exacerbating LL-37-induced inflammation in rosacea. Both STING antagonist H-151 and LAPTM5 knockdown alleviated LL-37-induced rosacea-like symptoms in mice. Identifies LAPTM5 as a potential therapeutic target for rosacea.
