Developed novel SufA protease inhibitors using 1-aminoalkylphosphonate diaryl esters with para-position substituents on phenyl rings. Structural optimization improved inhibition of the Finegoldia magna virulence protease that degrades LL-37 and fibrinogen, with enhanced antibacterial properties.
