Tests local thymosin β4 gel injection for preventing esophageal stricture after circumferential endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD)—a serious complication limiting full-circumferential endoscopic cancer resection. In a porcine model, TB4 gel injected submucosally after ESD significantly reduced stricture formation, maintained esophageal lumen diameter, and decreased submucosal fibrosis versus controls. Demonstrates TB4's anti-fibrotic activity in a clinically urgent GI application—preventing iatrogenic esophageal strictures after endoscopic early cancer treatment.
