Develops solid-state thermal synthesis for conjugating anionic boron clusters (dodecaborate and COSAN) to thymosin β4 via selective carboxylic group reactions. The resulting TB4-boron conjugates showed enhanced albumin binding for improved pharmacokinetics while retaining TB4's wound healing bioactivity. Validates selective conjugation chemistry that preserves TB4's functional properties—providing chemical synthesis tools for TB4-based boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) probes and targeted drug delivery systems.
