Develops MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry imaging methodology for neuropeptide spatial mapping in rat spinal cord—creating an imaging workflow for pain research. Thymosin β4 was among the peptides characterized in the spinal cord neuropeptide profile. While methodology-focused, this study documents TB4's presence in spinal cord tissue and establishes the analytical tools for studying TB4 distribution in spinal cord pain pathways—relevant to TB4's known neuroprotective roles in SCI models.
