Published correction to an original study (DOI: 10.1371/journal.pone.0110598) demonstrating thymosin β4 protects mice from monocrotaline-induced pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and right ventricular hypertrophy. The original study showed TB4 reduced pulmonary vascular remodeling, right ventricular pressure, and hypertrophy. This correction addresses data presentation issues without changing the principal finding of TB4's efficacy in PAH—an important application extending TB4's cardioprotective scope to pulmonary vascular disease.
