Investigates thymosin β4's role in odontogenic (tooth-forming) differentiation of human dental pulp cells (HDPCs). TB4 mRNA and protein were upregulated during odontogenic induction; TB4 siRNA knockdown reduced odontoblast differentiation markers (DSPP, DMP-1). Establishes TB4 as required for human dental pulp cell odontoblastic commitment—extending TB4's dental development roles (PMID 25739055, 26361868) to the pulp regeneration context and providing rationale for TB4 in regenerative endodontics for dentin bridge formation and vital pulp therapy.
