Tests BPC 157 anti-inflammatory effects in experimental periodontitis in rats (ligature around molar). Chronic ligature caused significantly increased gingival vascular permeability (Evans blue), histological inflammation, and alveolar bone loss on micro-CT. BPC 157 treatment (12 days) significantly reduced all three endpoints without altering normal gingival blood flow. First demonstration of BPC 157's efficacy in periodontal disease—proposing a new peptide therapeutic for periodontitis via systemic anti-inflammatory and bone-protective mechanisms.
