Researchers tested Epitalon and other short peptides in lab experiments and found they don't act as direct antioxidants, but can reduce fat oxidation in human lipoproteins by changing their structure. The peptides also stabilized red blood cell membranes and appeared to help regulate cell death processes, suggesting they may play a role in controlling apoptosis.
