This study examined how GHRP-6 interacts with GHRH and pyridostigmine to stimulate growth hormone release in lambs. While GHRP-6 was weaker than GHRH when tested alone on pituitary cells, combining the two peptides in live animals produced a significantly stronger GH response, and adding pyridostigmine to GHRP-6 dramatically amplified GH release. These results suggest GHRP-6 enhances GH secretion primarily at the hypothalamic level, potentiating the effects of GHRH through independent pathways.
