This study tested a GHRH antagonist's effect on natural GH secretion patterns in healthy young adults. Evening administration of the antagonist significantly reduced GH levels for about 90 minutes, while morning administration had no effect, suggesting that evening basal GH secretion -- but not morning secretion -- depends on endogenous GHRH signaling.
