This study compared sermorelin (GHRH 1-29) infusion at two doses against growth hormone injections in 60 children with GH deficiency over six months. Growth hormone therapy produced significantly better growth (14.6 cm/year) than either sermorelin dose (about 9.2-9.3 cm/year), and nearly all children on sermorelin developed GHRH antibodies, suggesting that continuous sermorelin infusion is unlikely to match GH therapy for promoting growth.
