Abstract

The influence of epithalamine on the blood content of immunoreactive follicle-stimulating and luteinizing hormones and prolactin was studied in 49 persons of both sexes and albino rats. It was shown that epithalamine promotes an increase in the concentration of the blood hormones if their initial level is lowered and vice versa. The normal hormone content is not changed under one epithalamine injection. The epiphysis-hypophysis relationships are discussed.
