Case report of a 16-year-old male with mild conventional thrombosis risk factors (overweight BMI, sedentary behavior) who developed acute lower extremity deep venous thrombosis (DVT) within two weeks of initiating oral semaglutide (Rybelsus, 7 mg) for weight management. Contributes to emerging pharmacovigilance data on GLP-1 RA-associated thromboembolic events—particularly relevant for off-label use in adolescents where benefit-risk calculations differ from adult T2DM populations and where dehydration from GI side effects may increase thrombosis risk.
