Scientists developed a fully automated platform that combines traditional solid-phase peptide synthesis with a programmable chemical processing unit, enabling the production of complex peptides including GHRH(1-29) and semaglutide in a single uninterrupted workflow. The system can perform over 1,600 sequential chemical operations across 85 hours of continuous activity while maintaining high purity. This advance could remove key bottlenecks in automated peptide manufacturing.
