The STEP-HFpEF DM trialshowed that semaglutide improved body weight, systemic inflammation, and heart failure symptoms in people with obesity-related heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and type 2 diabetes. By addressing both metabolic and cardiovascular risk, semaglutide is a promising therapeutic option for HFpEF in addition to SGLT2i.
