Rat study examining interactions between low-protein/high-calorie diet, integrase inhibitor-based antiretroviral regimens, and tesamorelin on cART-associated metabolic syndrome, comparing body composition and metabolic parameters across diet and treatment groups in Sprague Dawley rats. Tests whether nutritional status modifies tesamorelin's metabolic benefits in the context of modern ART. Provides preclinical data on tesamorelin's utility in reversing the metabolic consequences of cART in the context of poor nutritional status—addressing a clinically relevant concern since many HIV-positive patients in resource-limited settings face cART initiation with suboptimal nutritional status.
