Using large-scale genetic analysis of over 1,000 glioma (brain tumor) patients, researchers found that recurrent gliomas are most sensitive to sermorelin compared to thousands of other drugs screened. Sermorelin appeared to work by blocking tumor cell division and enhancing the immune response against the cancer. The benefit was particularly strong in patients with aggressive tumor subtypes and was independent of other treatments received after surgery.
