Investigates whether ipamorelin (peripherally restricted) and HM01 (centrally active) ghrelin receptor agonists can reduce visceral and somatic pain in non-inflammatory animal models. Ipamorelin reduced colon hypersensitivity through a peripheral mechanism, suggesting ghrelin-receptor activation in the gut may attenuate visceral pain without central side effects.
