Scientists created a fusion protein combining interferon alpha-2 and thymosin alpha-1, achieving high-yield production with strong biological activity. The fusion protein retained the functions of both individual components and showed significantly stronger anti-cancer effects compared to interferon alpha-2 alone. This work demonstrates a practical approach to manufacturing a combined therapeutic with enhanced tumor-fighting potential.
