Injections of sermorelin (GRF 1-29) stimulated growth hormone secretion in lambs, with undersized (hypotrophic) lambs showing a significantly greater response than normal lambs. The treatment altered body composition by reducing fat retention and boosting calcium and phosphorus content, indicating that sermorelin promotes both metabolic changes and skeletal growth in young ruminants.
