Researchers used advanced analytical techniques (trapped ion mobility spectrometry-mass spectrometry) to study the three-dimensional shapes of GHRH peptide analogs under different chemical conditions. They found that the molecular environment in solution affects the structures observed in the gas phase, and that chemical modifiers can shift peptide shapes between different conformations. This work helps scientists better understand how the physical shape of GHRH analogs relates to their biological activity.
