Thymosin alpha-1 reduced inflammatory pain in mice by suppressing microglial activation and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the spinal cord. The treatment also corrected imbalances in neurotransmitter transporters caused by inflammation, suggesting it may have therapeutic potential for managing chronic inflammatory pain conditions.
