In this clinical study, circulating MOTS-c levels were found to be significantly decreased in patients with coronary endothelial dysfunction compared to controls, even without significant structural coronary lesions. The findings suggest MOTS-c may serve as a biomarker and potential therapeutic target for early-stage cardiovascular disease.
