Researchers found that blocking growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) receptors significantly reduced eye inflammation in a mouse model of uveitis (a common inflammatory eye disease). The GHRH blocker worked by reducing immune cell infiltration and lowering levels of inflammatory molecules in the eye. This suggests GHRH receptor blockers could be developed as a new treatment option for acute inflammatory eye conditions.
