Abstract

The Fifth Annual Immunotherapeutics and Vaccine Summit (ImVacS), held in Boston, included topics covering new developments in the field of adjuvants and delivery systems for vaccines. This conference report highlights selected presentations on improving vaccine quality and persistence through adjuvants, the development of AS04-adjuvanted Cervarix, and research on new adjuvants. Adjuvants discussed include thymalfasin, nutritive immune-enhancing delivery system (NIDS), W805EC, MIMOPATH and ISCOMATRIX; the use of lasers as adjuvants is also highlighted.
