In children with growth hormone insufficiency, pyridostigmine failed to meaningfully boost either spontaneous or GHRH-stimulated GH secretion during day or nighttime testing. The authors concluded that pyridostigmine, whether used alone or combined with GHRH, does not offer a practical therapeutic benefit for managing short stature in GH-insufficient children.
