This study tested whether long-term treatment with a growth hormone-releasing factor (GRF) analog and/or thyrotropin-releasing hormone affected ovarian follicle development in cattle. GRF treatment increased the size of large follicles and altered steroid levels in medium-sized follicles, but did not change follicular IGF-I concentrations, suggesting GRF may influence reproductive function through effects on ovarian steroidogenesis.
