When African green monkeys were injected twice daily for six months with either full-length human GHRH or a more potent sermorelin-based analog, only one animal in each group developed low-titer antibodies against the peptide. These antibodies did not neutralize the biological activity of either peptide, as both treatments continued to produce significant growth hormone responses after 20 weeks of administration.
