Molecular dynamics simulations showed that the drug zadaxin (thymosin alpha-1) can be inserted into carbon nanotubes when the tube diameter exceeds 1.9 nanometers, with the process driven by competing interactions between the drug, nanotube walls, and surrounding water molecules. This research explores the potential of carbon nanotubes as nano-scale delivery vehicles for thymosin alpha-1 and similar peptide drugs.
