GHRH antagonists significantly inhibited the growth of two types of human non-Hodgkin's lymphoma tumors in mice by 60-74%, working through direct effects on tumor GHRH receptors and also reducing levels of the growth factor bFGF. Both lymphoma types were found to contain GHRH peptide and express GHRH receptors, suggesting these antagonists could offer a new treatment option for advanced lymphoma.
