A GHRH antagonist significantly inhibited the growth of human endometrial cancer tumors in mice, reducing tumor volume by up to 58% and more than doubling the time it took tumors to grow. The cancer cells were found to produce their own GHRH and express GHRH receptors, suggesting this treatment works through both direct effects on the tumor and indirect hormonal mechanisms.
