A pilot study of 22 cancer patients who experienced nerve damage from chemotherapy found that adding thymosin-alpha-1 to their next treatment cycle reduced neurotoxicity severity in 45.4% of cases. This suggests the peptide may offer protection against the nerve-damaging side effects of chemotherapy drugs like vinorelbine, paclitaxel, and cisplatin.
