After pinealectomy in rats, the normal circadian rhythm of spermatogonia proliferation was lost and the mitotic index increased. Treatment with Epithalamin for 14 days restored the circadian rhythm, demonstrating the pineal gland's role in regulating spermatogenesis through its peptide factors.
