Researchers examined how the synthetic growth hormone secretagogue GHRP-6 interacts with the body's own GHRH system. They found that GHRP-6 needs endogenous GHRH to achieve its full effect, as blocking GHRH significantly reduced GHRP-6's ability to release growth hormone. The study also ruled out TRH and GnRH as natural counterparts of GHRP-6, confirming that the synergy between GHRH and GHRP-6 seen in lab experiments reflects a genuine physiological interaction.
